OLAfest and me!

Greetings to all! This past Monday I had a meeting with the creator’s of OLAfest and OLA21. We discussed the event and what I can contribute to it. The meeting went well for both parties being that we had great ideas, and the creative possibilities where exciting! Me being of simple mind really didn’t think much would come from my contribution. But Alan helped me envision the plan at a much grander scale.

For a long time I have been working in Photoshop creating these little images using filters, photography, and color gradients that produce images like many of you have seen. Since then I turned those images into the Binary Series 2010, and now I will be creating unique imagery that will be displayed in a local movie theater during the festival. So HD quality artwork and the technical aspect of this, to a computer geek like me is equivalent to handing me the keys to Willy Wonka’s Factory. My imagination has been beating the hell out of me, and so in short. I have a ton of ideas that will soon be translated into a Poster for OLA21, Postcards, Web media, and background imagery for a poetry reading and interpretive dance presentation. Along with being able to display my work in a enormous way that I thought would never be possible!

Now that the little excited child in me has been given a chance to speak, you are probably wondering what is OLAfest and OLA21? Well Orlando Local Agenda ( OLA ) it is an art movement that is working on AWAKENING a art and cultural awareness here in Orlando Florida. They are gathering artist, and filmmakers alike to make a ten-day festival that is sure to entertain and shake up the art community. And I must say I am honored to be part of it.

Tune in periodically for more info and updates, the site is still being constructed.

So here is a sample of the work that is going to be presented. I have been working on this image and a few others, so that we may be able to test it in the theater.

BINARY ARTSHOW 2010

Hello all as you know I am in the process of releasing my latest art series in art show format. I am looking for anyone who would like to help me put this thing together.

I'm looking for a place to host the BINARY art show in Orlando, Tampa, and Miami. If those go well I am looking at N.Y. and L.A. If any one wants to help please email me here or at snstrsin@gmail.com

The series is in digital format so I don't have physical prints for gallery presentation. I will be using my laptop, monitors, or projector and a local HP printer to print out 8 X 11 prints of your choice for 5.00 ea. I will also download the high resolution JPGs and PDF Tutorials for anyone that brings a USB Flash Drive. I will also be explaining the series the same night of the show.

What we need:

Monitors to display the artwork, I have 4 that I am using at the moment. If the space it large then I will need more or just use a projector.

Location: I would like it to have WIFI in order to email AVATARS and MOBILE WALLPAPERS to anyone at the show.

Location must be a chill environment very little noise because the series has a soundtrack that will be playing during presentation.

Please don't offer up your home, it is very generous but I fear that too many people will show up.

The Goal:

Is to share an evening of art, and friendship. I have always been an artist that likes to interact with my fans, for I consider you all my closest friends. So I will present the artwork, and then spend time with each of you. If you own a business and want to network it is encouraged, strength comes from helping each other. And if you are looking for an evening to just chill and meet new and exciting people then this is for you. Anyone who knows me knows it is real fun!

Thanks to all the kind people that have helped me so far, I love and appreciate you, your time and hard work!!

I thank you in advance!

The Caretaker

Once a well-respected surgeon, he became the caretaker of the Shady Oaks Cemetery in the small town of Willamette Valley. Caine later converted the Victorian-style mansion he and his family lived in into a mortuary/funeral parlor. For years during his career as a surgeon, Dr. Caine was intensely interested in the workings of the body and what happened to the patients he couldn't save, what happens to a person when they die. Caine and his family eventually used the deceased of the town as guinea pigs in unnatural and bizarre experiments. His demented "extended family", made up of blood relatives and deranged assistants, dug up the bodies of both the recent and not-so-recently dead and used them for either Caine's experiments, their elaborate "parties", or as house decoration. Caine performed these experiments in an attempt to discover the nature of the "soul". For fresh specimens, Caine would go into the nearby town to find homeless people, and, in what seemed like a charitable offer, invited them to his Mansion/funeral home until they got back on their feet. Instead of helping, though, he would perform horrifying surgeries on them, carving them open on the operating table while they were restrained and often fully conscious and without anesthetic.

Caine occupied his time performing acts of the most base cruelty: chemical injections, brutal amputations, live dissections, castrations without anesthesia, electroshock, even organ removal. Caine kept notes and audio recordings, but as time went on and his madness increased these became rambling discussions often delving into the philosophical.
